From db970d3596fbbc75f652f1a9fe7f7ce98e651ad2 Mon Sep 17 00:00:00 2001 From: Keith Packard Date: Fri, 1 Sep 2006 21:12:44 -0700 Subject: [PATCH] Prefer Bitstream Vera to DejaVu families. DejaVu is a modified version of Bitstream Vera that covers significantly more languages, but does so with spotty quality, lacking hinting for many glyphs, especially for the synthesized serif oblique face. Use Bitstream Vera (where installed). --- fonts.conf.in | 11 ++++++----- 1 file changed, 6 insertions(+), 5 deletions(-) diff --git a/fonts.conf.in b/fonts.conf.in index 0629c80..b8855ba 100644 --- a/fonts.conf.in +++ b/fonts.conf.in @@ -77,8 +77,8 @@ Serif faces --> - DejaVu Serif Bitstream Vera Serif + DejaVu Serif Times New Roman Thorndale AMT Times @@ -97,8 +97,8 @@ Sans-serif faces --> - DejaVu Sans Bitstream Vera Sans + DejaVu Sans Helvetica Arial Verdana @@ -119,6 +119,7 @@ Monospace faces --> + Bitstream Vera Sans Mono DejaVu Sans Mono Courier Courier New @@ -298,8 +299,8 @@ serif - DejaVu Serif Bitstream Vera Serif + DejaVu Serif Times New Roman Thorndale AMT Luxi Serif @@ -318,8 +319,8 @@ sans-serif - DejaVu Sans Bitstream Vera Sans + DejaVu Sans Verdana Arial Albany AMT @@ -340,8 +341,8 @@ monospace - DejaVu Sans Mono Bitstream Vera Sans Mono + DejaVu Sans Mono Andale Mono Courier New Cumberland AMT
