* Send `mouseleft` event when the mouse leaves the window
* Call `View:on_mouse_left` when the mouse leaves the `View`
Previously `View:on_mouse_left` was called only when the mouse left the
window, and it was called on every visible `View`.
Now it gets also called when the mouse "changes" `View`, and only the
last `View` the mouse was on will receive the event.
* Update meson.build
- add logic to loop over more lua names (in the future more names might be discovered)
- disable warnings and errors on dependencies
* adding missing includes and checks, correct data types, pointer mess […]
- various functions from string.h were used but never defined
- logic was done across multiple different data types with different signedness, got all of them up to snuff
- give 0 sized array size of 1 (array of size 0 is illegal, but rewriting the code is out of the scope of this commit)
- add preprocessor that marks possibly unused argument as such (does not mean they will get optimized out or anything)
- correctly initialize structs with all data needed
All these were found by generating the project using `meson -Dwarning_level=3 -Dwerror=true`
* remove undefined behavior, correct data types
* Comment manual bit manipulation to be investigated
* check for more edge cases, replace multiple cleanups with goto
* remove system specific includes
Removed dmon, and replaced with logic that works across Linux, Mac, FreeBSD and Windows. Have tested on all platforms, and seems to work.

Simplifies and uniformize the logic on the Lua side for the
setting of directories' watches. Now we always use the methods:
systems.watch_dir_add / rm
on all the project's directories at any depth when we are not
in files limit mode.
In files limited mode the functions systems.watch_dir_add/rm are
called only on the expanded folders. The shown_subdir table is also
updated only in files limited mode.
On the C side, using the dmon library, we remove the recursive argument
from the system.watch_dir and we always call it recursively except on
Linux. At the same time the functions:
systems.watch_dir_add / rm
are provided but as dummy functions that does nothing except on Linux
where they work as before to add / remove sub-directories in the inotify
watch.
In this was on the Lua side we always act we if the watches needed to be
set for each sub-directory explicitly, independently of the system.
The important improvement introduced is that we always avoid calling
dmon_watch recursively on Linux. This latter thing is problematic with
inotify and is therefore avoided on Linux.
On the other side we simplifies the logic on the Lua side and remove
conditions based on the OS used.
Fix a conspicuous omission to call the dmon_unwatch function
when changing project directory.
This uncovered a bug or a quirk of the dmon library where the watch_ids
can change as a result of calling dmon_unwatch because they are just
indexes on a contiguous array. Use a workaround to always unwatch the
first valid watch_id N times.
something went wrong in snprintf that it skips the first character of
the library name. Not only that, the signature is actually luaopen and
not lua_open.
It is reported that the built-in lua function os.remove(path) does
not removes empty directories on windows. To fix this a system.rmdir
function is introduced that calls a native win32 function.
Also common.rm(path, recursively) was added which wraps system.rmdir()
to easily delete an entire folder with all its contents.
Groups together consecutive mouse move events like done in core.step()
lua function but on the C side.
It does not introduce any meaningful speedup but it theory is more efficient and
simplifies the Lua code.
The simplification of the Lua code alone is enough to justify this change?
On macos 11.2.3 with sdl 2.0.14 the keyup handler for cmd+w was not
enough. Maybe the quit event started to be triggered from the keydown
handler? In any case, flushing the quit event there too helped.
Introduce a new approach that discriminate coordinates in
points and pixels. Now all the logic from the Lua side and in
rencache is to always use points. The coordinates are converted
to pixels only within the renderer, in the file renderer.c.
In this way the application logic does not need to care about the
scaling of the retina displays.
For non-retina display the scaling between points and pixels is
equal to one so nothing will change.
There is nevertheless a change that leak into the Lua side. The
subpixel coordinates are in sub-pixel, not sub-points so they are
scaled by the retina scaling factor. But no change in the code is
required because the subpixel scaling factor take into account the
retina scaling, when present.
Because the retina scaling factor is not know when the application
starts but only when a window is actually available we introduce a
mechanism to render the font with a given scaling factor only from
the renderer when they are needed. We use therefore FontDesc to
describe the font information but without actually rasterizing the
font at a given scale.
Create the user's config init file if lite user's config directory does
not exists.
No longer use the awkward package.searchers but instead add user's
config dir at the end of package path.
The problem was that when the editor had no events the cursor was not
blinking because the event loop was blocking on wait_event.
Now we no longer calls wait_event without a timeout if the windows has
the focus. When the window has the focus the timeout is set to 1 / fps
so that the cursor can blinks.
In addition we react to the "focus lost" event to ensure the documents
are redrawn without the cursor.
