It is not possible to write in other languages when the keyboard layout changes. Possible an issue with unicode or something else.

That's unfortunately difficult to be done. This is not a bug of the editor but a problem of the OS, supporting Unicode characters. Will be visited in the future again.

With the release 2.1.2r1 I introduced a new plugin and code that can change the file encoding. With SDL2 changes (v2.30.x) happening based on my issue raised at https://github.com/AmigaPorts/SDL/issues/73 typing in other encodings seem to be possible. This will be included in the 2.1.3 release.
